Switching a puppy onto adult food, which is a good affordable brand?

Question by mandy608: Switching a puppy onto adult food, which is a good affordable brand?

My Springer Spaniel is about ready to switch to adult food. She has been getting fed purina growth and development her whole life so far. It’s pricey and gives her bad breath but she seems to really like it. I would like some suggestions on good healty adult dry food for her that is reasonably priced and doesn’t make her stink. I live a good distance from any actual pet stores so gas money is also a factor when buying her certain foods. Is there any food worth while at local grocery stores? I’ve heard some horror stories of cheap dog foods and I want to make the right decision for my dog.

I buy whatever is the best value and try to stay with that brand.
