Question by Nina: What are some simple guidelines to working in a home (not own) with aging pets that might have behavioral chan?

I work in a home health care agency and we are often in homes where the clients and their pets are aging and recently an employee was bitten by a “friendly” dog when cleaning up scattered dog food.

Maybe the dog was not done eating ? Have the dog in a different room when cleaning up, talk to the dog calmly , but see if it can be in another room, best of luck,
