Q&A: My Husky puppy wont eat his food. Should i take him to the vet?

Question by Brandon: My Husky puppy wont eat his food. Should i take him to the vet?

Hi, I have a 7-month-old male husky that all of a sudden started acting funny towards his food. Usually when I go out to feed him he’s jumping up and down barking at me to feed him and scarfs his food down. Till yesterday I went out to feed him and he’s just sitting there looking sad. He didn’t want to eat his food. I recently changed his food to the adult Purina dog food from the puppy food. Is this a result of switching? He drinks his water but only if I put it in front of him and wiggle my fingers in it. He acted like he needed to throw up but nothing ever came out and sense then he hasn’t attempted to throw up. Just once. Also I remember he had got off his runner for awhile that morning and was laying by my other female husky which is not normal because I’ve had some issues lately with him getting off and getting out of our fenced yard to wander off. So something is wrong. I brought him inside my home and let him get some cool air because it’s humid in Texas. I’ve tried many human foods but he won’t eat at all. Not even meat. Which normally he would go nuts over. He acts like he’s stressed or sick. I’m really concerned for him and hope its not parvo or some other health issue. I’ve taken him outside to pee and he dose but hasn’t pooed yet. Is this normal? Should I switch back to the puppy food? Please help.
